Mainstreaming EDI in the Workplace: Challenges and Successes

The TNLIP “EDI in the Workplace” task group successfully ran the “Mainstreaming EDI in the Workplace: Successes and Challenges” online discussion on June 16th, 2022 from 10-12pm, with around 40 attendees! The session included a keynote opening address from Dr. Catherine Chandler-Crichlow, a moderated panel discussion with representatives from different sectors, and breakout rooms with audience members. The session was tailored to employers and service providers in North York & the broader GTA who want to learn more about creating inclusive work environments for newcomer job-seekers and employees. We had a deeper discussion on potential challenges and opportunities facing employers when implementing EDI in their workplaces, and how we could build stronger partnerships and awareness between organizations to ease that process.
