Child Welfare Webinar

On September 26th, 2023, TNLIP and the Child Welfare Immigration Centre of Excellence (CWICE), hosted a webinar on direct settlement services available for children and youth part of the child welfare and child protection services in Ontario. Susan Katumba, and Liz Okai of Peel Children’s Aid Society discussed topics related to CWICE such as: developing a better understanding of the impact immigration/settlement issues have on children, youth and families. This was done in order to ensure children and youth have immigration plans and pathways that keep their rights first and foremost. This webinar is an initiative by the TNLIP Young People’s Adverse Childhood Experiences (YPA) Task Group.
