2024 Faith Forum – Healing Together in Times of Crisis: Bridging Gaps

TNLIP cordially invites you to the 6th Annual 2024 Faith and Welcoming Communities Forum! This year’s theme is: Healing Together in Times of Crisis: Bridging Gaps Toward Sustainable Change.

This Inter-LIP, community-wide forum aims to bring newcomer service providers and faith communities together to build stronger relationships and collaboration around pressing issues facing newcomers in Toronto. We know that both sectors are immensely vital in newcomer settlement and we hope to use this forum to bridge gaps and foster networks that will result in better settlement outcomes.

TNLIP works to foster intersectoral collaboration around the most pressing issues facing newcomers so that innovative solutions can not only be discovered, but implemented together as a community.

This forum will explore ways of healing and moving forward together in wake of global, national, and local crisis through a plenary session with important thought leaders in faith and newcomer services sectors. Intimate workshops will explore important subthemes such as the role of community partnerships and governance in supporting settlement work, improving joint advocacy efforts, and improving access to health services for newcomers through intersectoral collaboration.

Please join us for a time to learn, share, and discuss promising practices and inventive ideas.

The event is hosted at Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto. Free parking will be available at the Event Centre for attendees.
