Rapporto sull'equità dei dati: sfide, lezioni e implicazioni derivanti dalla raccolta di dati sull'identità sociale 

Social identity data (SID)—information on social identifiers such as age, gender, Indigenous identity, place of birth, race, or sexual orientation—is increasingly recognized as a critical tool for advancing more equitable outcomes in the social and community services sector. When implemented well, SID can help agencies understand who is—and who is not—accessing services, highlight service gaps and disparities, and ensure programs are appropriately designed for those in need of the services. The collection and application of SID is also complex and must be approached with care to avoid perpetuating inequities.
 
Through the Be Yourself, See Yourself data equity pilot—jointly funded by Ontario Trillium Foundation, United Way Greater Toronto and the City of Toronto and led by Findhelp | 211—community agencies, funders and service users across Toronto have collaboratively tested tools and approaches to collecting and using SID—and uncovered important insights on what it takes to do this effectively, equitably, and more consistently across the sector.
