In 2023, the City of Toronto partnered up with Social Planning Toronto to launch a capacity-building project. Through this partnership, Social Planning Toronto developed a “community playbook” for engaging Local Groups, Safety Networks and other community-led collaboratives interested in aligning with through the Toronto Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy, SafeTO, and Community Crisis Response Program. The Community Playbook serves as a guide for residents participating in community networks and focuses on the delivery of local community engagement actions. These community engagement actions vary greatly and take many forms. Download the resource here.
