Newcomer Day 2024 - Toronto North Local Immigration Partnership

2024 marked 10 years of Toronto Newcomer Day! This year, additional events were held in addition to the full day event held on May 23 at Toronto’s City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. On Wednesday May 8^th, 2024, TNLIP successfully coordinated up to 200 newcomers from TNLIP member agencies including TNO-The Neighborhood Organization, COSTI, North York Community House, Mennonite New Life Centre and ACCESS Employment to visit Gibson House Museum in North York. This pre-event is part of the 10th annual Toronto Newcomer Day happening on May 23^rd, 2024, at Toronto’s City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. The visit provided diverse newcomer population with a fantastic opportunity to network with other newcomers, engage in unique programming, and learn about City of Toronto heritage site in their local area. We have received very positive feedback from newcomers and TNLIP member agencies on the event coordination and the event itself.
