On Monday October 21st at TNLIP’s second annual Food Leaders Networking Event, community food leaders collaborated with the City of Toronto’s Poverty Reduction Strategy’s Leslie Campbell in a community consultation on the city’s Food Charter. The event took place at North York Civic Centre and Food Leaders in attendance included 50 leaders of North York’s Food Banks and Food Spaces, Community Farms, Grassroots Organizations, Settlement Organizations, Food Advocacy groups, and academics.
The charter first launched in 2001 and is currently in the process of being updated. Thank you to all who attended and provided input on the charter. You can access the current food charter here.
Food leaders who attended the event provided invaluable feedback, which can be accessed below.
