20-Year Review of Employment in Canada & Key Industries in GTA in 2018 

This infographic and the narrated screencast show that over the last 20 years 50% of net employment growth in Canada came from three industries which today comprise 30% of all employment. The infographic correlates this information with employment industries in Toronto for 2018 and shows the average wage and percentages of women, immigrants, and workers with a postsecondary education in each industry. This is followed by information about immigrant employment and earnings in Canada from 2001 – 2019 as well as impacts of COVID-19 on Immigrants and some data on nature of current economic recovery. The infographic can be accessed below and the narrated screencast is available here.
